This 18-month Work-Study Post-Diploma programme aims to deepen and equip participants with relevant skills to meet the industry demand for trained specialists in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology and Healthcare Services in the Biomedical industry.
Upon completing the course, the graduates will be equipped to undertake the following biomedical engineering and services functions:
a) perform maintenance of biomedical equipment and devices;
b) perform troubleshooting of biomedical equipment and devices;
c) develop solutions for engineering problems related to biomedical engineering;
d) practice Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures in the manufacturing value stream of medical devices or combination products;
e) formulate good healthcare operations management, healthcare administration and regulatory compliance within healthcare, medtech and biomedical industry, and
f) administer clinical trials
At the entry level, the job position is Engineering Assistant. Upon completing the course under the Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme, graduates can look forward to role expansion in their work scope.
